30-60 minutes of being uncomfortable is better than being uncomfortable your entire life

So much of losing weight, getting fit, and changing our eating habits starts with our mindset. If you think you cannot do it and won’t accomplish your goals, unfortunately, you’re right. But if you’re open and ready for a shift – even if you believe that you can’t do it right now – you CAN change your mind and accomplish your goals! Β You just have to shift your perspective. Change the way you look at things and make up your mind to succeed.

A good example is when you’re trying to change your eating habits and the word dieting. Most people think of dieting as being hungry all the time, not being able to eat what they want, and feeling deprived or restricted. So choose to look at your change in eating habits as embarking on a healthier lifestyle instead! You don’t have to diet, per se, you can simply focus on choosing more veggies, fruits, lean proteins, and complex carbs. Yes, you will also want to eat less sugar and junk food, but focus on all of the yummy food you’ll still be able to indulge in. You just have to find some yummy old favorites for those old naughty ones.

You can do the same thing if you don’t like exercise too! I’ve long had a tough time finding a way to “enjoy” working out, but I have found ways to make it fun. Watching my favorite shows Β while on the treadmill, doing Zumba (which is a lot of dancing), and finding a workout buddy. Another important thing to remember is how just a little bit of exercise can have a huge impact on your health. Just 30-60 minutes a day can have drastic improvements on your health through weight loss and increased fitness. Just do it!
