1) Weight Lifting: without a doubt this made the biggest difference in body composition (fat vs muscle) and creating a fit, sculpted body for me because you can pick and choose where you want to focus on building muscle. These workouts also burn just as many calories is not more as cardio with all the added benefits. The key is to targeting just a few muscle groups at once. .
2) Cardio & Ab Exercises: a few times per week. The ab workouts help build those muscles so they begin to pop as we decrease body fat and cardio helps with that body fat reduction. .
3) Nutrition: just in the past year or two, I actually prioritize healthy eating over workouts. If I can get to the store & prep food over a workout, I'll do that since it makes that much of a difference. You can't out train a bad diet. .
Above all, consistency is key. Try! Try! Try! It will become a habit before you know it!

It's only week 2 of the ConfidenceKini challenge a It's only week 2 of the ConfidenceKini challenge and it has been a struggle! Yes, Lauren's workout are NO JOKE πŸ˜“ but the worst battle is the one I've had with my mind and emotions 😣 I've been grappling with some personal stuff this week that just makes me so tired and sad. When I am processing something that is mentally and emotionally taxing, my overall energy plummets. How do you workout when you feel so low? For me, it was giving myself permission not to workout yesterday so I got the time I needed to rest, re-evaluate, and reboot. This morning I did a double up since I didn't workout yesterday: Day 4 & 5 DONE! Go me! πŸ’ͺ🏼 I got my workout in and have been eating very clean, even when I didn't workout yesterday. I'm still feeling a kinda low but I'm not going to let that derail my progress. Yesterday I needed extra sleep. Today I knew it was important to get back on track with my workouts. Listen to your body and your soul πŸ’« Stay strong #LGTeamKini I'm pushing thru my barriers so you gotta push thru with me! πŸ’œ #LGAccountability

Day 6 workout for the #LGTeamKini πŸ‘™challenge DO Day 6 workout for the #LGTeamKini πŸ‘™challenge DONE!!! πŸ’ͺ🏼 I had a little personal growth moment today! So I skipped yesterday's workout (upper body) because I was still SO sore from Tuesday's arm workout I could barely brush my hair! Later that night, I logged into our FB group for this challenge and saw so many other strong women had pushed thru and did the days workout despite their soreness... and then I started feeling a little down on myself. Why didn't I at least try? πŸ˜”

This morning when I got up - STILL sore - and saw that we had a shoulder work today I felt nervous but decided to do it  anyway. I'm not gonna fall off this challenge!! And guess what, I DID IT! I honestly struggled thru the two lateral exercises but I did the best I could and I feel proud of that. 😊

LESSON: Even if you think you can't, just do your best and do it anyway. 😘  #LGAccountability #LGFlexFriday
