About

Hey Beautiful! Yep, I’m talking to you…

Stop trying to get “the perfect body” and transform the beautiful body that you already have into one that is healthier and stronger instead. A body that provides you with more energy, makes you look good in your clothes (and when you’re naked), and makes you feel better about you!

Thin and Strong isn’t just about losing weight. It’s about getting healthy and strong and loving yourself while you do it!

It’s about eating healthier but not feeling deprived. It’s about finding the motivation you need to start exercising – even if that simply means taking a daily walk – and not giving up even when you slip up or miss a day (we all do it!). It’s about changing the way you think about yourself and your body because you’re already amazing just the way you are! Thin and Strong is a movement to empower, encourage, inspire, motivate, and help women just like you who are ready to make a change.

About Me

Hi my name is Mikayla Martinsen and I want to personally welcome you to Thin and Strong! Since you’re on this page, you’re probably curious about who I am and what this site is all about.  It’s my pleasure to explain…

I’m a single mother of two (that’s me to the left). I’ve got an MBA degree, but I choose to work from home rather than climb the corporate American ladder because I’m hopelessly in love with my kids. Working from home allows me the flexibility to be there for my kids the way I want to be – THAT is really important to me.

About Thin and Strong

I created Thin and Strong because I want to help people.

I want to help you get Thin and Strong. I want help you find a new healthier way to eat that involves nutritious but delicious food and not being hungry all the time. I want to help you find a love for exercise and show you how to have fun while you do it. I want to help you reach your weight loss goals. I want to be the one to remind you that if you make a mistake and have a piece of cake or don’t workout that day, that it’s OK – you can get back up and keep going. I want to be the one to remind you how beautiful you are right now and to love yourself while you’re on this journey.

If all this sounds good to you, I invite you to look around and sign up for my newsletter. And please, if you find something that intrigues you – please feel free to comment (I love hearing from you!) and I would truly honored if you shared it with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, etc. I can’t wait to connect with you!

To your good health and success,
Mikayla
